Recently one December morning as we watched this Holiday Seasons new array of ads on television, my Son began humming Christmas tunes and spoke with glee abt how he wants Christmas to be... I then promised him a good Christmas this yr (last yrs was not great..nor was his Birthday either...sigh)... So I have started a *Christmas Wishlist Fund* for my Son, age 9 when this all happened, literally lost EVERYTHING due to our 10 months Harbor Place ordeal...
He lost the simple & quality life as we knew and loved it while we temporarily stayed at Harbor Place, the place we called "home"... He has lost his best friend, everything that we got for our new apartment & kitchen..just EVERYTHING! ...His favorite books...books never read yet... School work for his portfolio!, a book he hand wrote (and was to get an award for), all his reading books, 25 new school books for this yrs studies, his printer, all of his personal ID papers & irreplaceable documents, all his new clothes - great long-sleeved tops & stylish jeans & shorts we bought at the Gap, his brand new Adidas sneakers he nvr got to wear...along with a new winter parka for this year, sweaters, his beloved puffer jkt of last yr that the Property Manager kindly gave us, his hoodies, Red Sox Tshirts & gear, expensive ski wear, all his stylish scarves & favorite hats... All his photos & camera...a beloved purple cellphone with irreplaceable pics/voice recordings...all his faved pillows, blankets & bedding, a foldable wooden chess set we loved that the Property Manager happily gave us one day and we will never forget-- and ALL of his unique small character toys, TY Stuffed Toy Collection..along with our beloved, irreplaceable other stuffed animals of extreme personal value... "Greeny, Stuffed Dog, Pokemon Thing, Ducky, Barrington and Owly" :(
In all these months since April...he spoke often if his friend he nvr got to see again...repeatedly and daily he STILL speaks of Harbor Place with only fond memories ( a recent Halloween Pic on fb made him "homesick"...he spoke of Halloween being the one yr anniversary of when we met his friend while getting candy at the office)... and of course, he also habitually speaks of his prized possession of toys that he absolutely cherished and then needlessly lost...
...But he now speaks bravely of the wish to "replace" the not-very-replaceable toys with new ones...While holding back tears, I listened to the Christmas Wish List he comprised & shared with the hope, now returned...
