:: THE HARBOR PLACE STORIES PROJECT ::
This project & blog was planned months in advance of what actually transpired from the January to April 2015 portion of our stay at Harbor Place - and long before the true scope of harm to us took place...
Direct sources of information & facts are noted as available. All story information shared - and to be shared herein - has been witnessed first hand or has been reported in genuine conversations of concern by people having been wronged and who naturally felt hurt. A lot of these human beings were simply venting out their anger & frustration at what happened to them and of what they had witnessed while at Harbor Place. I do not believe anyone has/had anything to gain by telling lies and that each person expressing humiliation & pain in their stories, has indeed been telling the truth.
The other portion of this huge project is to tell our story exactly as it happened. Regardless of what needlessly & unjustly happened to us, it is absolutely not done out of any spite or anger and it is not intended to harm anyone - it is what it is.
The truth is a hard pill to swallow.
"It is what it is" is exactly what I told Property Manager Dan while I informed him of my blog plans as I said goodbye on our check-out day in April, knowing I hoped to not return. 30 days later, we tried to go back because we had to and my Son missed it so much; after all, we did love it there for many reasons...but we could not ever go back to Harbor Place. So we end up losing even more, we now lose everything. Literally.
What happened to us needlessly - became the core of Harbor Place Stories Project, to share our story and others and see an actual change in Human Rights & Civil Rights of the Homeless and Poor in Vermont -- as well as the entire United States with the awareness!
